Evergreen timing context
Bourbon release calendar
Broad annual windows for sought-after releases — useful context for planning, never a promise that a bottle is available near you.
Read this as timing context, not a forecast
National brand announcements, state distribution, and a retailer’s actual release date are different things. Windows vary by state, distributor, retailer, lottery program, and year. A release can be allocated and sold without appearing in public inventory at all.
AllocationWatch monitors OHLQ in Ohio, selected public retailer sources in Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois, and Michigan’s price-book/release reference. See source coverage and limits before making a trip; confirm availability and rules directly with the retailer.
Autumn; commonly announced in late summer or fall
Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC)
Ohio releases can be controlled through OHLQ; elsewhere, allocations may be retailer lotteries or loyalty programs rather than shelf stock.

Autumn, often alongside the BTAC season
Pappy / Van Winkle
Treat this as an annual national pattern, not a store date. Check official state and retailer lottery rules in OH, IN, KY and IL.

Irregular; many labels arrive in allocations throughout the year
Weller annual and special releases
There is no dependable public shelf calendar. Midwest retailer snapshots can show a listing after publication, not predict a delivery.

Late summer through autumn is the usual release window
Four Roses Limited Edition
Kentucky availability may include distillery or retailer channels; every state receives a different allocation and timing can move year to year.

September, around the brand’s annual birthday release
Old Forester Birthday Bourbon
Kentucky is relevant to the release, but local store availability remains distributor and retailer specific.

Autumn
Parker’s Heritage Collection
Heaven Hill’s annual limited edition is generally a fall release; a national announcement does not mean an OH, IN, KY or IL shelf allocation.

Autumn, with limited release details announced by the brand
King of Kentucky
This is an especially small allocation. Kentucky prominence does not establish retail availability in any monitored state.

Varies by expression; announcements occur throughout the year
Michter’s limited releases
Michter’s publishes product news, but distribution and retailer release methods vary. Michigan’s MLCC catalog is a price/reference signal, never live inventory.

What to do when a window approaches
- Read the brand or state announcement first.
- Check a retailer’s official lottery or purchase-policy page rather than social-media rumors.
- Use current rendered finds only as a snapshot, then call or open the retailer listing before driving.
This page intentionally has no subscription feed, scrapeable event dataset, or prediction endpoint.
